This marked a pivotal shift: my quest for truth turned inward. I began to confront the false identities I had accumulated—ideas about being a family man, a good parent, a seeker—everything that conditioned and limited me. In 2012, I went through a divorce that shattered my world. With no definitions left to cling to, I was stripped bare of all labels, including the very identity of being a seeker. It was a profound invitation to surrender.
During the global crises of COVID, I found myself living on a remote farm in the middle of nowhere. The world seemed to pause, and I was left sitting on a lawn every day—no money, no work, no distractions. During this time, a long-term relationship also ended. I sat hours each day contemplating, deepening into surrender and acceptance of whatever was happening in the present moment. There was no more need for expectations—no need for the world to conform to my desires, no need for external validation, no need to “improve” myself.
In those quiet hours, I uncovered a core truth: the world and all its divisions are a realm of fear, an illusion of separation. I realized that I AM all that is—eternal, boundless, and one with the universe. I am, in truth, the Self—beyond the personal ego, beyond form. Yet, I also manifest here as Theus, an individual expression within this world of duality and illusion.
What I discovered is that spiritual awareness of Self is not opposed to the physical or material realm but is deeply intertwined with it. It is through embodying love, grace, mercy, and non-judgment—actions born from true awareness—that higher consciousness becomes real and transformative. This awakening isn’t just personal; it’s a recognition of the divine in everything and everyone—especially in the least expected places.
Throughout my awakening path, I experienced profound revelations—insights into the hidden truths behind religious teachings, spiritual principles, and dogmas. I uncovered how these truths are covered over by layers of tradition, culture, language, and belief systems that distort their pure essence. I saw the true message of Christ—resurrected in every awakening soul, awakening to their unity and divine nature. I am not against religion—I respect its wisdom—but I no longer identify with it. I live fully immersed in material life, recognizing it as Spirit in the flesh—a gift, not a mistake or separation.
My journey has shown me that true spiritual power lies in love—not just for loved ones, but even for the enemy, the “other,” and the seemingly irredeemable. The Christ’s words resonate deeply: “If you try to hold onto your life, you will lose it. But if you surrender, even to death, you will find eternal life.” This is the consciousness of transformation—understanding that the physical body is temporary, but the true Self is eternal and unchanging.
From this realization flows my teaching philosophy: “From true being flows true action, bearing true fruit.” Anything not rooted in truth is destined to fade or lead us astray. In my one-on-one sessions, my focus is to expose false identities and help clients rediscover who they truly are—beyond the roles, beliefs, and narratives. Over time, they learn to rest in their authentic Self and allow genuine action to flow effortlessly.
When resistance and projections fall away, life becomes quieter, more peaceful amidst the chaos. We naturally let go of relationships and situations that no longer serve our highest good. We come to love ourselves deeply, recognizing our inherent worth. We begin to say no more often than yes, unapologetically and fearlessly. And in that freedom, our creativity blossoms. We discover our gifts and the deeper purpose behind incarnating on this Earth.
We are living in an extraordinary time of awakening—a collective shift toward higher consciousness. I see my role as simply showing up as the I AM—being present for those who resonate with my message, guiding them along the narrow way, and bearing the yoke that is light and the burden that is easy. Together, we are awakening to the truth of who we really are, and in that awakening, we find our eternal freedom.
I currently Live with my life partner, Stephani, 5 dogs, two cats, and 3 horses on our off the grid farm near Bronkhorstspruit about an hour's drive from OR Tambo international airport. Stephani has gone through her own remarkable journey and we live at peace with one another and just live day by day, enjoying the simple things in our lives. Stephani has 2 children and I have 3. I work as a commercial photographer and she is a candle maker.
